Blake Cyze
Hey there! I'm a third-year student in the BIT IMD programme, working towards my Bachelor's in IT from Carleton University and an Advanced Diploma in Design from Algonquin College. I have a passion for creating things, especially user interfaces that are both functional and appealing. Let's team up and make something awesome together!
RepShare UI
I teamed up with Rep Share to create their social fitness app. We aimed for a sleek and professional look that’s easy to navigate, using a contrasting colour scheme and current design trends. While the team handled coding, I took care of the design. We’re all thrilled with our collaborative effort!
UAVPro Control Panels
With colleague and friend Luka Jovanovic, designed and created the UI for UAVPro's control panel system. As a drone company focused on recording footage for and training clients, as well as managing drone pilots, they wanted an all-in-one interface giving them access to a messaging system, file storage system, project system, event planning system, and more! All of which we implemented much to the client's appreciation.
OCD Awareness
I created a Public Service Announcement (PSA) about Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), drawing from my personal experiences with the condition. The main graphic and title, "You are not your thoughts," convey a powerful message that has personally resonated with me. This PSA is designed to raise OCD awareness and offer support to those affected by it.
Tooth and Nail Redesign
In a class project, we rebranded a local Ottawa brewery, updating their webpage, logo, and branding. I led the design, mockups, and presentation, producing work I'm proud of. We impressed the brewery owners and our professor with trendy, sleek designs tailored to their target audience, using their fonts and theme.
Astro Babble
As a group, we developed "Astro Babble," a hangman-style game where wrong guesses reduce oxygen (time) and correct ones replenish it. I designed interface elements, selected colours, implemented gameplay mechanics, and handled API interactions. My group handled the art and other aspects. This project enhanced my JavaScript skills and teamwork experience.
